Aromatherapy is a treatment using a blend of essential oils and massage. Each treatment is tailored to how the person is feeling on the day, so our therapist will ask you how you are feeling to determine which oils to use for your treatment. Each essential oil has it’s own set of properties and benefits. The oils are then mixed into a base oil, usually a sweet almond oil and this is used for your massage. Essential oils are concentrated oils taken from plants, such as lavender, geranium, peppermint, rose and may be used for calming, energising, uplifting, or rejuvenating.
Aromatherapy massage can benefit almost everyone, encouraging the body to relax and helping the brain to ‘switch off’, even if for only half an hour.
